Because I have a lot of feelings about Gary and this song. I really do cry everytime I watch the music video. It’s obvious Gary loves his fans because he’s sharing his story in such a raw, unedited way. And Gary’s story itself is so encouraging. That’s why he’s always sending cheer-up messages to kids/young adults to never give up. It’s because he’s been there, and he knows what it’s like to be at the bottom, but because he never gave up, he finally reached a brighter place. So that’s why he’s always telling his fans to never give up, because things do get better and he’s proof of that. He’s basically saying, “If I can find my happiness, you guys can find it too.”
And precious Gil’s composing is so perfect. The simplicity of the song makes it even more powerful. And his singing is spot-on as always. He always conveys his emotions perfectly.
